Before I begin my welcome to the 2021-2022 school year message, I must say thank you. Thank you for partnering with us to survive the year of the pandemic. Thank you for your patience with all of the changes. Thank you for supporting students in understanding a sometimes scary year. And most importantly, thank you for your grace. It wasn’t a perfect year, but we are proud of our successes. We know that we would not have reached that level of success without your support.
The 2021-2022 school year will again be a year of change. However, this year the change will be in the faces that you see leading our schools. We have a new principal in each of our four buildings. Mr. Chris Asbury is the new principal at St. Maries High School. Mr. Brett Murdock is the new principal at St. Maries Middle School. Ms. Bridgit Arkoosh is the new principal at Heyburn, and Mr. Thomas Blackwell is the new principal at UpRiver. While I have every confidence in their abilities, they have new positions and a lot to learn. I ask that you continue to extend grace to them as they transition into their new positions.
We are excited to get back to a full week and full days. We are excited to get clubs and activities rolling again. We are excited to add a before and after school program at Heyburn. There are so many great things going on in our schools! We are committed to quality education!
